Dear Tabasco Elementary Family,
I am honored and excited to introduce myself as your new principal. As we begin this new
school year together, I would like to share a bit about myself and the purpose that brings
me to Tabasco Elementary.
First and foremost, I am a wife and a proud mother of three wonderful children. My family
is my greatest blessing and the driving force behind my passion for education. They remind
me daily of the importance of creating schools where every child feels valued, supported,
and inspired to succeed.
I am also proud to be a product of La Joya ISD. I attended Eloida Chapa Elementary
through 5th grade, Memorial Middle School in 6th grade, and was part of the first groups to
attend Ann Richards Middle School for 7th and 8th grades. Additionally, I was in the last
cohort to attend the 9th Grade Campus before the district restructured its schools. I then
attended Juarez-Lincoln High School for 10th grade and completed my high school years
at La Joya Senior High School, graduating in 2005.
After high school, I earned my Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University–Kingsville
and my Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from The
University of Texas at Arlington.
Returning to serve in the district that shaped me is truly a full-circle moment. My purpose
at Tabasco Elementary is to work alongside you, support your success, and create an
environment where students, staff, and families can thrive. I believe in building strong
relationships, fostering a culture of growth, and keeping students at the center of our
decisions.
I am excited to learn from each of you, celebrate your successes, and begin this new
chapter together. Thank you for welcoming me into the Tabasco family. I look forward to a
year filled with growth, collaboration, and achievement.
